Free AutoCAD Tutorials

I’ve been contacted a few times by AutoCAD beginners who were looking for AutoCAD training. In light of this, I’d like to recommend the following two sources of free AutoCAD training tutorials.

First, I’d say that the tutorials at MY CAD SITE would be a great place to start. The owner of the website Art Whitton, has his tutorials in both written and video format.

Secondly, I’d say that Teaching Professor Kristen Kurland’s AutoCAD 2D Tutorial course would also be great to checkout. I only started to investigate her course, and was impressed.

I contacted Kristen last month and she said, “You might note that although the videos use older versions of AutoCAD the PDF files are up-to-date. I’ll likely have AutoCAD 2012 PDFs for my CMU class this fall.”

That’s it for this post. I hope it helps any of you newbie’s out there!!
